The 12-Step Design Process Primer is the interactive slide deck that explains each step — the concepts, the worked examples, and the reasoning behind them. It is how students and teams learn the method, and it grounds the AI coach’s answers.
The Requirements Ledger is where teams do the work: filling in a template for each of the 12 steps, recording every requirement as a traceable row, mapping how the solution satisfies each one, and assembling it all into an editable technical report.
A real design is never described by a single diagram. Collective System Design™ deliberately draws on many established engineering viewpoints — the Flame Model, Axiomatic Design, FMEA, Verification & Validation, the Toyota Production System, Use Cases, INCOSE systems engineering, Process Capability (Cpk), and Design for X — all resting on the ISO/IEC/IEEE 42010 standard for multi-viewpoint architecture description.
Each viewpoint surfaces different requirements. Without a shared home, those requirements scatter across charts, spreadsheets, and slide decks and quietly fall out of sync.
